Terpening Woodworking wasn't always what it is today. Previously, Ernest was a drywall finisher by trade, but also did general and house construction, trim, and painting. He worked first for his father in the early 1980s and 90s. Then coming to own his own business, he became known as one of the best drywall finishers in Central New York.

Around the mid 1990s, Ernest Terpening wanted something different. Stepping away from drywall, he began his journey to becoming a professional woodworker. With now over 30 years of experience in the field, Ernest continues to produce high quality custom woodworking. 

Taking something old and finding new parts to match or even replace it can be an impossible task. If it's made from wood, and you can't find it, Terpening Woodworking would love to help.
